A companion post to Wonder & Wander, Episode 12

Every season has a last episode.

And every last episode deserves something honest.

What I See When I Look Ahead

When I look at the road ahead — not the podcast road, not the professional road, but the human one — what I see is a desire to live with intention.

I'm at a stage of life where I can no longer pretend that choices don't have consequences. My body is changing. My understanding of the world keeps shifting. The certainties I used to hold have mostly given way to something more spacious — and more honest.

But one thing hasn't changed. All the way from childhood to now: the desire to make an impact. To help people. To leave the world better than I found it.

That last part is — yes — fittingly Boy Scout-ish. I can live with that.

What the Next Chapter Stands For

I want to deepen the relationships I already have. I want to develop new friendships — the kind that go past surface level, the kind that require something of you.

I want to take risks. I want to embrace what life throws at me, including the things I didn't choose and wouldn't have chosen.

Every night, I close the day by naming five things I'm grateful for. Not because I have some perfect gratitude practice — but because whatever the day held, there's almost always something meaningful in it, if I'm willing to look.

The best days and the hardest days both have something worth noticing and appreciating.

On Wonder & Wander

This show started as an idea around a campfire. What would it look like to create a space where men could talk about the things that actually matter — without performance, without pressure, without having to have it all figured out?

I don't know exactly where it goes from here. But I know it keeps going.

I don't have a promised amount of time on Earth. Neither do you. So the plan is to use what we have — as fully and as purposefully as possible.

Thanks for pulling up a chair.
